Chuck Willis Biography

Chuck Willis, known for his hit song C. C. Rider, was an American blues, rhythm and blues, and rock and roll singer and songwriter. Born on January 31st, 1926 in Atlanta, Georgia, Chuck would release 2 Albums and 26 Singles between 1950 and 1958.

He was 32 years old when he released his first album for Epic LN 3425, “Wails the Blues.”

One of his hit singles, What Am I Living For, was Willis’s last Top 40 hit. It was released two weeks after his death.
