Top 40 Hot Country Songs

Below are Nolan Method’s Top 40 Hot Country charts from the early 60s until today.  The data used to create these Nolan Method charts is based on the most popular country songs reported to Billboard by various services like country radio stations, streaming digital services, digital downloads, etc. in the United States. Over the years, the charts have gone through a series of name changes.  Currently, the chart is called “Hot Country Songs”. Previous chart names included “Hot C&W Sides”, “Hot Country Singles”, and “Hot Country Singles & Tracks.”

The Nolan Method ranking system was formulated by lead Top40Weekly contributor Jarrett Nolan and is based on a point system for an artist’s weekly chart performance on Billboard during the year.
