US Top 40 Singles – 30th July, 1966

“Wild Thing” was simultaneously pressed on both Atco and Fontana Records. However, you will see the writers have been erroneously misprinted. One as Chip Taylor (on the Fontana label), and the other as Reg Presley (on Atco). However, the true writer of the single was Taylor. The single was pressed in the U.K. only on Fontana. Also, the times differ from the two singles. The true official time of the single version only, commonly clocks in at 2:30, however the original LP version is 2:34. The 2:35 printed on the Atco label is said to be an error and not the album version.
