More, More, More Pt. 1 – Andrea True Connection | Top 40 Chart Performance, Story and Song Meaning
Chart Performance: Pop (#4) & R&B (#23); 1976
Story Behind The Song By Ed Osborne
Andrea True’s notoriety had as much to do with her films as her one hit record. Born and raised in Nashville, Andrea moved to New York in 1968 with her heart set on an acting career. And act she did, in steamy flicks such as Deep Throat II, Every Inch A Lady, and The Seduction Of Lyn Carter.
In 1975 Andrea laid her heavy breathing experience onto audio tape when she recorded a Gregg Diamond tune at a studio in Jamaica. Diamond licensed More, More, More to Buddah Records, master mixer Tom Moulton worked his magic at the console prior to release, and Andrea hit the streets singing.
More moved slowly up the Hot 100 for 19 weeks before peaking at #4. Apparently, sex was a hot commodity that summer: the number one single during Andrea’s recline in the Top 10 was Afternoon Delight.

Hi. I got my first record at age two and never looked back, spending a decades-long career in radio and the music business. Even after years of reading about and listening to all types of music, I am still fascinated by it. Apart from that, I’m endlessly intrigued by art, nature, and the inner lives of people (and dogs).
