Story Behind The Song By Ed Osborne

Like La Bouche, No Mercy also benefited from the magic touch of producer Frank Farian. While on vacation in Miami, he spotted Marty Cintron in South Beach. Impressed with Marty’s good lucks and strong voice, Farian offered to work with him.

Marty brought in brothers Ariel and Gabrield Hernandez, whose first brush with fame came when Prince saw them dancing at his Grand Slam club, and asked them to work for him on tour and as featured performers in his videos.

Within a month, the Bronx-born Cintron and the Cuban Hernandez twins found themselves in Germany, recording with Farian. For their debut single Farian chose Where Do You Go, a song originally recorded by La Bouche in 1995 and included on their Sweet Dreams album.

No Mercy’s take on Where Do You Go clicked with the dance floor crowd all over the world just in time to ring out 1996 in true Euro-beat fashion.
